NFU Mutual hosted its inaugural charity clay pigeon shoot for Worcestershire and Warwickshire members yesterday at Riverside Shooting Ground in Bidford-on-Avon.
The evening attracted in excess of 80 shooters, comprising NFU members and the general public to help raise money for RABI, an organisation that supports farming families.
There was a 50-bird Sporting competition, a pool shoot of four pairs of Skeet doubles on stand four, a BBQ, and a have-a-go stand, which NFU’s Luke Ryder said he was keen to promote to new shooters, including some of his in-office colleagues who had never tried shooting. He said: “The idea of using Riverside is that it’s a great central location for our members, they have a great team and it’s a lot of fun. We talk a lot about policy at the NFU, but this is a great opportunity to have a social evening and raise some money for RABI.”
£721.17 raised for R.A.B.I.
