Thimbleby Estate are pleased to announce the launch of their new Simulated Game days.
This exciting new activity will take place on a variety of drives set within a stunning landscape which covers some 3000 acres of moorland, farmland and forestry on the edge of the North York Moors.
Simulated Game days offer the opportunity for parties of between 8 and 10 people to shoot clay targets that simulate traditional game shooting. The days provide guests with all the trappings of a traditional game day, including first class hospitality, plus as many clays as they want.
Shoot Ground Manager Philip Thompson said: “We’re really excited to launch our new simulated days which are incredibly unique thanks to the Estate’s varied terrain. It’s a great opportunity to shoot some fantastic drives in a stunning landscape which includes grouse moorland, deep valleys and steep wooded areas.”
Offering all of the benefits of both traditional game shooting and clay shooting, days can be tailored to suit all abilities from absolute beginners through to seasoned shots. Non shotgun license holders will be introduced to shooting and provided with equipment and instruction prior to setting out onto the drives.
This is an exciting activity for a corporate event, a group of friends or even a stag or hen do with a difference. More experienced shots will be challenged and excited to shoot a variety of testing drives.

The launch comes at an exciting time for Thimbleby Shooting Ground with the construction of a new club house about to commence, offering customers improved facilities including cafe, shop and meeting rooms.
East of Northallerton and easily accessed from the A19 and A1, customers will quickly enter the exclusive world of Simulated Clay Days, an exciting new take on a traditional sport set in stunning countryside.
