The Clay Shooting Classic makes a welcome return as a major event in the clay calendar in 2019.
With a huge prize fund and six full days of competition across three disciplines, it promises to be a real festival of clay shooting.
The event will be at Garlands SG in Staffordshire from Tuesday 28 May to Sunday 2 June, run by Steve Lovatt and The Clay Shooting Company. Steve ran the event at Windrush in 2014 and 2015, and is excited to be back at the helm. He says: “This shoot for me is one of major shoots in the calendar, if not the major shoot, with the amount of history it has behind it. I can assure you it won’t just be a run-of-the-mill Sunday shoot!”
The week will consist of the 100-bird Classic Fitasc Sporting (28-30 May), the 100-bird Classic Sportrap (30 May-1 June) and the 150-bird Classic Sporting, shot over two 75-bird layouts (31 May-2 June).
There will be a buzzing trade village with full representation from Clay Shooting magazine, including many of our expert contributors available to chat to shooters and offer their advice. Negotiations are already under way with major sponsors, and full details will be announced as soon as they are available.
