The Schools Challenge celebrated its 10th anniversary at The Oxford Gun Company last week and Stratstone presented a Vauxhall Corsa to 16-year-old top shot Tom Scott, who became the youngest shooter to win a car since 15-year-old Adam Ewens won the Mitsubishi Motor Series at the Midland Game Fair in 2010.
He won the Sportrap-like final but was in a tense sudden-death shoot-off against Frederick Williams. Each shooter hit all five targets to continue the nail-biting final, and Tom hit the next four before dropping one. It was then Fred’s turn but he missed the first target out.
He said: “I can’t explain how happy I am. It’s been a fantastic day, a fantastic year. It’s great.”
