The Guards Polo Club hosted its fourth Charity Clay Pigeon Shoot at Flemish Farm last week and raised £80,000 for the Welsh Guards Appeal.
EJ Churchill’s team set up the grounds at Windsor Great Park and provided a great opportunity to also remember the club’s former CEO Charles Stisted, whose widow Melissa was involved in the prize-giving ceremony.
Ian Botham’s son Liam was a member of the winning team, AFB 2, and Ian donated a day’s shooting at his Sawley Hall location to raise £25,000. There were also lots such as the chance to shoot the estate again, which was donated by HRH Prince Philip and the Crown Estate.
The Shotgun & Chelsea Bun Club, Purdey Gunmakers, Guy Salmon Ascot, Sir Mike Rake and EJ Churchill were among the sponsors.
