Some familiar names have risen to the top of the main event after day one of the Sporting World Championships at South Florida Shooting Club.
George Digweed has set about defending the title he won at EJ Churchill Shooting Ground last year with a strong score of 93 on the first layout, whereas Richard Faulds shot the second layout but matched that figure.
Two targets back, Richard Bunning shot the second layout to finish in third after the opening round, which was led early by the home country’s shooters. Wendell Cherry hit 90 to top the table early until the later rotations came through, and he currently sits in fourth place.
In the Ladies championship, Desirae Edmunds leads with 79, one target ahead of Anna Jarnald. Tanya Faulds is currently Third Overall with 75.
