Valley gets a second View

Valley View Shooting Ground has been taken over and re-invented by enthusiastic clay shooter Adam Lund.

After some 26 years, the ground, originally run by top shooter Ian Payne, is being taken back to its roots by the 31-year-old alongside World Junior Sporting champion Tom Ward who will be offering tuition.

The pair has developed the ground by planting new woodlands around the 35-acre site to improve the variation of targets offered and given the tired clubhouse a re-vamp as well as introducing delicious home-cooked food to the menu.

The Buckinghamshire site holds 100-bird open shoots every second Sunday and is officially re-launching the ground with a spectacular shoot on the 28 August.

Adam Lund said: “I’ve known Ian all my life. He was instrumental in me getting into shooting and I want to take his ground back to its former glory and focus on the values Ian was keen to encourage: introducing new people, especially young people, to shooting and encouraging a family atmosphere and community spirit at the ground.”
