Royal Berkshire Shooting School’s Christmas Turkey Shoot raised £1,228 in December, which will be donated to the West Berkshire Food Bank.

The money was raised via a sweepstake that saw each attendee guess the number of clays hit out of the total number sent.

WBFB’s Roger Ryton said: “Christmas can be a tough time if money is tight and the food bank is as busy as ever. The money from RBSS will go towards keeping the premises running and funding the delivery van.”

The school’s Dylan Willians said: “The Turkey shoots are enormous fun for everyone, but more importantly they raise money for a great cause. Food banks are incredibly important all year round but even more so at Christmas.”
