Each year, Clay Shooting magazine launches a survey of what shooters up and down the country feel has been the best shooting ground over the previous 12 months. It is a discussion point that garners animated response from proud club members across the UK and 2014 will undoubtedly be no different. It can be a Trap, Skeet or Sporting venue, and everything from the toilets to the targets can go into consideration. It is a competition that the staff of Clay Shooting has no control over, the magazine merely collects the votes of the readers.
When readers nominate their favourite ground, they will be entered into a prize draw to win a two-hour lesson including clays with the 1996 Sporting World Champion Carl Bloxham.
The lesson will take place at Stratford-on-Avon Shooting Ground and the winner will need to bring their own licensed shotgun and cartridges, and make their own travel arrangments. One entry per person only.
If you would like to throw support behind your favourite shooting ground, or just be in with a chance of winning a lesson with Carl, click here to head to the Competitions page where you can vote for this, and enter a competition to win £160 worth of Alan Paine gear. They are both open until 16 December and the winner will be announced in the February 2015 edition of Clay Shooting.
