Schools Challenge kicks off

Oxford Gun Company hosted the first Schools Challenge event of 2014 last week.

It attracted over 190 entrants and a number of new faces from a range of different schools around the country. Schools Challenge alumni and BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year 2013, Amber Hill was on hand to present the winning individuals and teams with their awards.

Rob Skipworth from Bloxham School enjoyed his day, the Senior shot won High Gun in his own category and led his team to victory. Helena Romanes boasted a second consecutive year on top of the Prep team category despite no individual finishing in the top three – a strong all-round performance. Clay Shooting’s One to Watch for 2014, Jess Allan topped the Senior Individual Ladies category and the Browning Rabbit Mania was won by William Ford of Chipping Norton.
