At the third event in the PSCA Pro Tour at Caney Creek Lodge in Teague, Texas, Gebben Miles and Desirae Edmunds climbed to the top of the podium again.
After 300 targets Gebben had scored 271, which was enough for a narrow win over Wendell Cherry. Some organisers were surprised at Wendell’s appearance after he missed an earlier Pro Tour event. PSCA’s Mark Weeks said: “Wendell said it was a waste of his time. I think it was a waste of his time because he can’t handle the pressure.” Read more in the Summer issue of the magazine.
Wendell proved his doubters wrong by hitting 268 to finish in second place.
Desirae continued her domination in the Women’s division. She hit 232, which finished 19 targets ahead of her nearest rival Ashleigh Hafley.
The top Men’s Amateur was Mark Hodgson, and Tara Creighton won the Women’s Amateur category.
The next event will take place at the American Shooting Centre in Houston, Texas.
