Ed Ling is world number one in Men’s Trap, according to the latest ISSF world rankings, released on 1 October.
The Olympic bronze medallist pipped Italy’s Daniele Resca to the top spot in the global standings. He rises from sixth place to depose former number one Josip Glasnovic.
Ling’s most recent international achievement was making it on to the podium at the Shotgun World Championships in Moscow, taking silver behind Resca.
Elsewhere in the rankings, Great Britain has two men in the Double Trap top 10: Steve Scott in sixth and Matt French in tenth.
And Amber Hill has broken the world’s top ten in Women’s Skeet.
