Tim Smith shoots smallbore to success at the .410 World Championship

Tim Smith of Herefordshire won the BASC .410 World Championship on 12 September at Mid Wales Shooting Centre.

His score of 45 topped the Senior category and won the High Gun prize. The Ladies title was retained by Linda Pearson, whose score of 41 earned her a silver necklace of a .410 cartridge head, and Holly Pennington won the Junior prize after hitting 40.

Gamebore’s David Scott said: “It’s such a keenly fought competition and scores show that a .410 with the right cartridges can give impressive results.”
