Southdown Gun Club rewards growing numbers with increased prize pool

Southdown Gun Club has seen a steady increase in Sporting competition entries, so the ground has decided to share this success by offering a substantial increase in prize winnings for Sporting competitions. Competitions with entries of 175 or more will receive a boost to the prize money pool, with no increase to entry fees.

The prize for first in class will be increased from £100 to £150 in competitions with 175 entrants, or £175 in competitions with over 200. Other categories will also receive similar boosts, and the prize for High Gun will be reinstated for larger competitions.

See the table below for the full rundown of the prizes:

“On the back of increased entries, it’s great to be able to increase the price fund and reinstate High Gun,” says Shaun Miller, director of the club. “We are hoping to continue to increase the prize fund further as entry levels grow.”

As a celebration of this new scheme, Southdown will be applying the increased prize pool for its next Sporting competition, regardless of the number of entries.

The first competition using the new prize money system will take place on 26 April. Pre-booking is recommended.
