Foymore Lodge Country Pursuits Centre will host the event, which aims to introduce women into clay shooting, off-road driving and fishing.

The day, dubbed ‘Women Call the Shots’, is being organised by the Northern Ireland branches of BASC, Countryside Alliance and the Gun Trade Guild, and will be led by Ulster Unionist Party MLA Jo-Anne Dobson. She said, “I fully appreciate the many benefits that shooting brings to Northern Ireland in terms of its economic contribution, wildlife management and cross-community benefits. I am delighted to see the country sports organisations come together to introduce more women to shooting sports.”

Entry will cost £10 and includes lunch. For more information contact BASC on 02892 605050 or the Countryside Alliance on 02892 639911.
