Shoot for the walking wounded

Walking With The Wounded is hosting a clay day on Friday 27 May at Six Mile Bottom near Newmarket to raise funds that help ex-servicemen and women get back to work.

Supporters will take place in a competition on five drives in 35 teams of four shooters on simulated game clays. Richard Clarke is managing the shoot, and there will also be a lunch with an auction and a prize-giving ceremony.

WWTW’s director of fundraising Andrew Cook said: “People came from the East of England, Midlands, London and the South East for our day at Sandringham and we expecting another great day’s clay pigeon shooting.”

The day will cost £600 for four guns or £175 for individual bookings, and it will take place at Wadlow Farm, Six Mile Bottom Road, West Wratting in Cambridgeshire, CB21 5PF.
