Park Lodge Shooting School will host the Yorkshire Schools Clay Shooting Challenge on Friday 18 September, which will be open to teams and individuals of novice and semi-experienced levels from Year 9 upwards.
There will be a range of prizes on offer from sponsor Lyalvale Express and a trophy for the top shooter. The teams will comprise five girls and boys.
Owner Tom Bayston said: “Last year’s event was well supported. There are some popular schools competition in other parts of the country and now Yorkshire can join that list.”
Lyalvale Express’ Marcus Iddon said: “One of the young shots at this event could be an Olympic world of European champion in a few years time. With Tom and Sharon Bayston’s foresight and investment in the future, a whole new era for shooting is evolving.”
