Merkel and Marocchi shotguns now distributed via Viking Arms

On top of unveiling a new competition cartridge at the dealer event last weekend, Viking Arms has announced that it is the new distributor for Marocchi shotguns in the UK.

Michele Marocchi was at the event talking about the new partnership: “We have produced semi-autos and over-and-unders in Italy since 1922. We started with this collaboration with Viking Arms because in our sector it’s important to create long-term partnerships. My expectation is to establish a strong business relationship with them to expand to the British market.”

Marocchi has a mix of competition and game shotguns, but one of the big talking points at Viking Arms’ dealer and 50th-birthday celebration day was the new inertia-operated, semi-automatic shotguns that will be competitively priced. The design is based on a Benelli and, since the company’s patent expired, Marocchi is looking to develop similar models at a more competitive price.

Merkel has also introduced three new shotguns designed with English shooters in mind. Reports from our sources at the dealer day said that they were “very usable” on clays.

Stay tuned for more information.

Hi Michelle, Viking Arms might not have much spare stock at the moment as Marocchi is still new to them, but they should be able to help in some way. Call 01423 780 810.
