One of Britain’s finest clay destinations, Bisley Shooting Ground, has teamed with Gulf Coast Clays in Florida to form a membership alliance.
From October, members of Bisley will boast the same benefits when visiting the US-based shooting ground, which is owned by British shooter, and member of the Surrey-based club, Colin Burrows.
Colin bought Gulf Coast Clays last year and has since been keen to promote the club to British shooters. He said: “It’s a way for both locations to offer more to their members and extend our horizons internationally. Though there’s been a club on the [Gulf Coast Clays] ground since 1966, the history pales in comparison to the long traditions of Bisley. For our members, it’s a chance to tap into the heritage of UK shooting and give Bisley members a warm welcome in the sunshine of the Evergaldes.”
For Bisley Shooting’s director, Alex Roupell, this is another step for the group in the way of expansion. His company bought the Scotland-based Braidwood Shooting Ground in early 2013 and developed it into Bisley at Braidwood. He said: “We are delighted to extend the reach and benefits of Bisley Shooting Ground to the sunshine of Florida. Together with out sister club, Bisley at Braidwood, Gulf Coast Clays will be a welcome addition to the family.”
