Joe Neville collects his MBE

The great Joe Neville visited Buckingham Palace on Friday 6 May to be awarded with the MBE for Services to Competitive Shooting.

Joe Neville Receives MBEPrince Charles presented the honour and was keen to discuss shooting while doing so, which included asking Joe what gun he preferred to use.

Joe has committed his lifetime to shooting, and finished fourth at the 1972 Olympic Games in Skeet. He has won numerous medals at the Commonwealth Games and won the British Grand Prix in four different decades. Since retiring, his work has involved coaching British athletes to the top of their game, including Olympic silver medallist Ian Peel, Kevin Gill, Richard Brickell, Sarah Wixey and Caroline Povey. He is currently mentoring Amber Hill and will be in Rio this summer to coach her at the Olympics.
