Harris GC affiliated

Harris Gun Club, on the Isle of Harris off the western coast of Scotland, has been granted affiliation with the Scottish Clay Target Association.

The club was voted the Scottish region’s favourite in Clay Shooting’s nation’s favourite shooting ground, and as a SCTA affiliate, it will now hold registered shoots in DTL.

SCTA’s Willie Lamont visited the island to present Colin Knape and the Harris Gun Club with official recognition. Mairi McKenzie said: “This news will be welcomed by all clay target shooters across the western isles, as previously, those wishing to register scores with the intention of competing nationally and internationally were required to travel to mainland shooting grounds.”
