The Good Shoot Hotel Guide announced the winners of their 2016/17 awards.
Voted for by members of the popular online shooting hub GunsOnPegs, the awards focus on rewarding excellence in the field of shooting accommodation.
The winner of the Hotel of the Year award was The White Horse, Chilgrove, West Sussex, who also won the South East region award, with one voter calling it “the quintessential English shooting lodge: log fire, stunning private dining room, fine wine, dog friendly – and the landlady is a keen gun herself.”
Second place went to Dryburgh Abbey Hotel, St Boswells, Scottish Borders (also winner of the Borders region) and third place went to The Talbot Hotel, Malton, North Yorkshire (also winner of the North-East region).
