First ISSF World Cup of the year kicks off this weekend

The first British Olympic-discipline team of the season will head to Nicosia, Cyprus, for the ISSF’s inaugural 2016 World Cup.

The competition will begin with the Double Trap squad comprising Matt Coward-Holley and Olympians Steve Scott and Tim Kneale.

Ben Llewellin, Chris Pratt and Michael Gilligan will start shooting on the Skeet layout at the same time but have the final the following day.

On Monday, Caroline Povey, Kirsty Barr and Sarah Wixey will aim for medals in the Women’s Olympic Trap competition, but the Skeet Women comprising Amber Hill, Sarah Gray and Victoria Humphreys will head out the following day.

The competition will round up with David Sipling, recent gold-medal winner at the Cyprus Grand Prix Nathan Hales and Olympian Ed Ling taking on the international Trap shooters.
