Clay Shooting Magazine 142 is out NOW

The latest issue of Clay Shooting Magazine is now officially on sale and available for purchase or subscription.

We’ve got plenty for the avid clay shooter this issue. Aside from our life-saving buyers guide – ensuring you’ll never need to worry about what to buy your shoot-loving loved one this Christmas – Mike Yardley has been persuaded to write about his first impressions of the exciting new competition over-and-under from Beretta, the 694.

Mike has been shooting, coaching and writing about guns for decades, and is acknowledged as one of the top experts on the subject worldwide.

Ballistics guru Richard Atkins tests the new Eley Hawk VIP Steel Eco Wad competition cartridges. There’s plenty more on guns and equipment in this issue, including our regular gun and cartridge buyer’s guide section at the back – but that’s just the start of it.

Jasper Fellows picks the brains of Fitasc World Champion Sam Green for his top tips on improving shooting technique. Given that daylight is short and the weather isn’t always inviting, he’s come up with routines you can follow in the your own home that will make a difference.

Competition season is largely over for this year, but we’ve got some shoot reports. The World Skeet Masters has been resurrected at Eriswell Lodge after 30 years. And Anita North was at Fauxdegla to witness the culmination of British Shooting’s Shotgun Series, the Grand Final, which saw superb shooting by international athletes.

There’s more to discover, from the last chapter in Ben Cartwright’s American adventure, to the talented young shots in our Shooters to Watch series, and updates from our regular columnists – although Cheryl Hall has taken over Mike Bartlett’s pages while he enjoys a fishing break!

We hope you enjoy the latest edition!
