A little over six months ago, 14-year-old Elise Dixon tried shooting for the first time, and after going out with her grandfather a few times and getting some BASC coaching with a 20-gauge, she gave up her hobby of Latin dancing an joined the CPSA. She then attended a British Shooting Talent Pathway at Norfolk. She was among the first to try out Olympic Trap but Elise was overwhelmed with so many people watching. The coaches gave her some space to practice and she borrowed a Perazzi High Tech before shooting a full round. Since the identification day Elise was selected to join the Talent Pathway and has started the Core Skills Programme. She has competed in two registered Olympic Trap competitions, the Universal Trench selection shoot and has ambitions to shoot at the 2024 Olympics.
Best of luck for the future, Elise, we hope the Arxus boots from Hammond Sporting help. Thanks to everyone that entered – maybe you’ll be the next Arxus Shooter of the Month?
