Hundreds of shotgun rounds intended for an international clay shooting event were stolen from a club in West Lothian.
The rounds had been securely locked away ahead of the event, at Morton Clay Target shooting club, in Livingston.
Staff turned up for work on Friday, 2 September to find there had been a break-in and the ammunition along with a three-figure sum of cash had been taken.
Police said they feared the ammunition could fall into the wrong hands and were carrying out local enquiries and appealing for witnesses to recover it as quickly as possible.
