New year’s resolutions

At the close of 2013, the Clay Shooting editorial team looked back on a great year and reviewed our new year’s resolutions from 12 months ago. With our bellies full of Christmas spirit, and a few glasses of mulled wine, the team made a pact to post our resolutions for 2014 online in an effort to stick to them more stringently.

I want to make a big effort to be in the office less this year and do more clay shooting. I especially want to get back onto the competitive circuit with the arrival of my new Zoli.

Though my first year in the sport has been ok, I want to get a few lessons shooting left-handed as my left-eye dominance is beyond the help of every product I’ve tested.

I want to try new disciplines, specifically DTL. Also, now that my shotgun certificate has finally arrived, I want to take my brand new Hatsan Escort 12-bore out shooting a lot more.

I want to make a concerted effort to make the trip up to Carnoustie to cheer on the clay shooters at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
