After a career laden with victories, Richard Faulds has officially retired from competitive shooting to focus his energy on Owl’s Lodge Shooting School, supporting his wife Tanya in her shooting pursuits and following the progress of his son Charlie, who has recently started shooting.

In 2000, Richard won Double Trap gold at the Sydney Olympics, but in the same year he proved just as capable at Sporting and won the first of many World Championships. He has also won the FITASC World Championship and the Beretta World Championship on several occasions.

Richard Faulds MBENearly three years ago, he started using Caesar Guerini shotguns and worked with the Anglo Italian brand to develop a gun he used to win another Sporting World Championship. In 2011, he also won a Double Trap silver medal at the World Championship.

Richard Faulds will go down as one of the greatest all-round shooters of all time, and everyone at Clay Shooting congratulates him on an incredible career.
