His two scores of 95 ran rampant ahead of the talented field of shooters and the American finished three targets ahead of his nearest rival, Sean Ponting, in the main competition. During the final six shoot-off, it also gave Anthony a head-start above his other finalists, and he finished joint-second in the 30-bird shoot-off to remain three targets ahead of the ICTSF world champion from 2015, Martin Myers.

Cheryl Hall won her fourth World English Sporting Championship Ladies title, after being claimed by USA’s top women shots the three previous years. Her score of 170 finished two targets ahead of a fantastic breakout competition on the world stage for Georgia Moule, who hit 168, one target ahead of last year’s champ Desirae Edmunds.

The event has been praised by many as one of the greatest that has ever been held in Britain. You can see footage of the event on tonight’s episode of The Shooting Show TV.
