The Clay Shooting Classic Sporting – Services Classic results

The Clay Shooting Classic Sporting kicked off in glorious sunshine this morning.  The services were well represented with members of the Army, Navy, RAF, Police and Fire Service taking part.

Simon Fenner took the Services High Gun with a big lead on 138, and also led the Police team to victory with a combined score of 608.

In the main event, George Digweed looked set to lead the way, having put in a 74 in the first rotation, but The Valley got the better of him.

George ended the day tied with Simon on 138, together with Richard Bunning, but Guy Franklin edged in front of them with 139.  However, at the end of day one it is Paul Simpson on a superb 143 that everyone will be trying to beat for the next three days.

There are some big names still to shoot this weekend, check in tomorrow night to see if it is still Paul in the top spot.
