Paul Wilkinson leads the Clay Shooting Classic after day two

IMG_0074A number of good shots joined the fun in the beautiful sunshine on Thursday at Windrush Shooting Ground to claim a stake in the £39,000 prize fund of the Clay Shooting Classic and Classic Sportrap, but Paul Wilkinson was the man putting his shots in the right places.

Paul’s score of 137 was six targets higher than the top scorers from day one, but it was just one ahead of John Lee and Martin Doughty.

Veteran Gordon Boertien isn’t far off the top mark and leads his category, while Aaron Harvey hit 131 to lead the Juniors. While Charlotte Kerwood gets paid to shoot Olympic Trap around the world, she is a dab hand across all disciplines and currently leads the Ladies category convincingly with a six-target lead over Sarah White.

Wonderful shoot in outstanding countryside with excellent organisation. Wish I had shot… perhaps next year!
