Mr 100/300 lived up to his name on the opening day of the main event at the Clay Shooting Classic DTL weekend.
Paul’s perfect round finished two points ahead of Ian Mullarkey, who barrelled in the first round and again in his fourth
The targets lived up to that a major competition and were thrown well from Bywell’s traps. The other side of the shooting ground housed three pool shoots –Clay Snooker, Euro Trap and a Rabbit Challenge – that provided light-hearted entertainment and relief from the competitive atmosphere of the DTL stands.
The competition continues tomorrow, and Paul will hope to continue his strong start as there is £1,000 on the line for the High Gun, and the chance to be the inaugural Clay Shooting Classic DTL trophy winner. Also, the top shot from class will advance to the Perazzi Super Shoot-Off along with a shooter from the Ladies, Veterans, Juniors and Colts categories.
