Tipped to be the best Down The Line competition of the year, the Clay Shooting Classic DTL has garnered additional support from the internationally renowned trap manufacturers Laporte.
In addition to this, the UK distributor Clay Pigeon Company and the social media site WeShoot will join the sponsorship team when the competition kicks off at Bywell Shooting Ground on 25-27 August. CPC’s marketing executive Jonathan Mitchell said: “Ever since my first DTL event held at Bywell Shooting Ground I was hooked. It is such a friendly and welcoming community of shooters right across the age range. The Northumbria countryside scenery is simply beautiful and the events are always very well organised.”
The companies’ involvement adds £500 to the prize fund as part of a side event. In addition to this, there will be a £1,000 High Gun prize at the main event, Mercury Hearing protection, and shooters could win a brand new Perazzi. The class winners, and one representative from the Ladies, Juniors, Veterans or Colts will shoot-off for the Italian shotgun, giving everybody the chance to get their hands on a brand new sponsored prize.
