Femme Fatales High Gun

More results from the Clay Shooting Classic, as Femme Fatales award member Emma Nelson, their club’s High Gun, the top prize for her sharp shooting.

EmmaNelson1[8]001Emma scored 105ex-150 at the Classic last weekend, and made her club proud, receiving £100 cash, a goody bag, free entry to their launch party and a lesson with Classic winner Mark Winser. Runners up Rachel Willcock with 102 and Rosie Brumby with 93 each received a goody bag. Working in association with Gamebore, Femme Fatales said: “We’re all about encouraging more girls to get involved in the sport of clay shooting – but we’re also keen to celebrate the females who already kick ass at the clay ground, that’s why when we were asked to offer an additional prize category for ladies competing in the 2014 Clay Shooting Classic we jumped at the chance!”

Emma Nelson, who become involved in the sport as a way to rid foxes from her hen rearing land, said: “I’m thrilled to bits that what started out as a sort of ‘hobby by default’ should now be winning prizes. Somewhat surprised – but seriously very pleased!”

With more women than ever taking part in the sport, an all-ladies shooting club membership is becoming a must-have for up-and-coming female shooters, and Femme Fatales will be at the Gamebore Gold Cup in September to award more talanted members.
