The British shooter, who lives in Wales with her husband Mike, hit 66 targets to finish joint third in qualification, and equalled Australian Catherine Skinner in the semi-final. In the sudden-death shoot-off she hit two clays to Catherine’s one to face another Aussie, Laetisha Scanlan, in the gold-silver matchup.

Again Sarah found herself tied with a shooter from down-under, as she and Laetisha scored 12 apiece. It took only one target from the Australian in sudden-death shooting to determine first and second place.

Catherine Skinner went on to win bronze. Sarah’s husband Mike will compete today in the Men’s Trap, he currently sits in 28th place with a score of 46.

A full round-up of the ISSF Tucson World Cup will be in the next edition of Clay Shooting.
