Recycled cartridges doubles in one year

In 2015, over 16million shotgun cartridges were recycled, which doubles the amount recycled in 2014.

The recycling process is managed by Agri.cycle and Laporte Clay Pigeon Company, and when clays are delivered to shooting grounds around the UK, spent cartridges are collected. Agri.cycle managing director Robert Moore said: “We are proud that so many shooting grounds are participating in our link up. This year’s figures confirm that the scheme is proving beneficial to the environment and clay pigeon shoots”

Cartridges are broken down and then 100 per cent of them are recycled to make heavy-duty outdoor furniture. For more information, visit the Agri.Cycle website.
