The new owners plan to expand the coaching and tuition side of the business dramatically, aiming to cater for first timers as well as proficient shots, with double Commonwealth gold medalist Stevan Walton joining the team as a head instructor.

Orston already has a following of more than 2,000 members, with facilities to host eight or more disciplines over the 54 acres. It also has a gunshop selling a wide range of guns and accessories, a clubhouse and café and a small lake.

Weekly competitions will carry on, including CPSA, open and World Sporting competitions in addition to monthly open Skeet and DTL competitions. In the near future, they hope to introduce FITASC and registered DTL and Skeet events to the calendar.

Prescott Shooting School has been re-branded as Prescott Sporting Agency and will continue to run alongside Orston Shooting Ground.
