Mark Winser continued an incredible 2015 and beat Mark Marshall in a final head-to-head shoot-off at the Essex Masters to claim the top prize.
The champion hit the course on the second day of the competition and took the lead from Sean Bramley with a score of 189. Mark Marshall then followed and matched his score one day later to wait three more nervous days to see if anyone would beat their score. No one came close so a shoot-off was required to determine the overall High Gun.
Thirty targets were set at Hepworth Hall to break the tie, and for a while it looked like they wouldn’t be separated. But some of the tougher targets were dropped by both men before Mark Winser finally moved ahead and won the final with 26 targets to Mark Marshall’s 25.
