Five athletes heading to Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games have not received the same support from funding bodies and NGOs as other shooters, and they reached out to the shooting community via the Clay Shooting Community Crowd Funding programme. They requested £5,000 between them to help pay for training, travel, cartridges, gear and other logistics of competing at a world event, and the community responded.

Large donations were raised by DryFire and at the Olympic Trap GP last weekend, but the majority came from small donations made by a large collection of supporters.

The campaign is still open for two days, so if you would like to pledge your support, visit the campaign on the Crowd Funding page.

We will soon be searching for new campaigns from groups and individuals, large and small. If you would like to be considered, register your project by clicking on the Crowd Funding tab at the top of the page.
