There will be a number of big events announced over the coming weeks for 2016, and to those who shoot Olympic disciplines, not many are bigger than the ISSF competitions – apart from maybe the Rio Olympics.
The first event of the year will take place in Nicosia, Cyprus. Shotgunners will travel there on 17-25 March before making the trip over to Brazil for the second World Cup of the year starting 13 April.
The Junior World Cup takes place in Suhl, Germany, in 2016 on 29 April-6 May but we return to Senior competition in San Marino on 1-11 June. There is then one final World Cup in Azerbaijan on 20-29 June before taking a break for the Olympic cycle.
Rio 2016 takes place on 5-21 August but the Juniors return to action after that for the Junior Cup in Gabala. Then the final event of the year will be the ISSF World Cup Final in Rome, Italy, on 11-16 October.
