In his first major international final at the ISSF World Championships, Connor Gorsuch handled the pressure well and hit 133 to qualify for the semi-final in fourth place yesterday.
Despite hitting a further 26 to finish second at the next stage, he drew level with Russians Kirill Fokeev and Kamil Khusaenov and lost out in the sudden-death to go into the bronze match against Kamil. There were some nervy targets from both shooters, but Connor held his nerve and won 27-26, needing the final pair to secure victory and the bronze medal.
