Club promises some hush

The boss of Bristol Clay Shooting has promised a judge he will take steps to reduce noise at the club.
Neil Padfield had appealed against Stroud District Council’s noise abatement rules for the site and was set for a two-day hearing at Gloucester Crown Court.
But Mr Padfield agreed ahead of the hearing to make sure noise to specified nearby properties did not exceed 62 decibels, after some neighbours complained.
The judge gave the club six months to provide soundproofing and implement other measures to reduce noise.
