3.3million cartridges recycled last year

Agri.cycle has calculated that, thanks to its joint effort with the Laporte Clay Pigeon Company, the company recycled over 3.3million spent shotgun cartridges last year. The two organisations have been working together for six years, offering shooting grounds a delivery and collection service for bags of spent cartridges; every one of which can hold up to 21,000 cartridges.

Though there was some initial resistance to the scheme due to cost,  more grounds are embracing the idea and the organisers hope to recycle a record number of cartridges in 2015. All cartridges are 100 per cent recycled and can either be sent to Agri.cycle through the bag scheme or delivered to local collection points. Grounds wishing to have their cartridges collected can opt to either have the Laporte Clay Pigeon Company pick them up when they deliver clays, or deal with Agri.cycle directly.
