Save our shooting grounds: Allerton Bywater CPC and Normanton SG need your help

For completely different reasons, Allerton Bywater Clay Pigeon Club in West Yorkshire and Normanton Shooting Ground require the support of clay shooters around the country.

34481Normanton Shooting Ground has faced disputes with neighbours for years regarding noise and the local council is now pressuring the ground to reduce the number of shooting stands. This would likely result in Normanton having to close and over 100 Leicestershire members being without a club. Please support the club by visiting this link and signing the petition and show the council how it is needed.

Allerton Bywater Clay Pigeon Club in Yorkshire has been decimated by flooding. While the weather didn’t affect the area much before Christmas, damage was caused by rivers breaking their banks west of the clay pigeon club and spilling over when it reached the ground. The water was over 3m deep at one stage and it has destroyed the clubhouse to the point that it has to be replaced. As a short-term solution, Chris Taylor and Brian Cummings are looking for porta-cabins and other logistics to help Allerton Bywater CPC get back on its feet.
