The DTL community will arrive at Bywell Shooting Ground today and tomorrow to begin the inaugural Clay Shooting Classic DTL.
With a prize fund of £20,000 up for grabs, there will be plenty of opportunity to take home a fantastic prize from the likes of Perazzi, RUAG, Lyalvale Express, Bywell Shooting Ground and, of course, Clay Shooting.
The overall High Gun at the end of Saturday and Sunday’s 200-bird main event will take home the Clay Shooting Classic DTL High Gun trophy and a cheque from Clay Shooting for £1,000.
The winner of each class will advance to a final shoot-off where they will compete for a brand new Perazzi High Tech Trap worth nearly £9,000, plus a three-year sponsorship deal from RUAG Ammotec. There will also be one spot for a member of the Colts, Ladies, Veterans or Juniors category.
Each entrant will receive a goody bag with a box of 25 Lyalvale Express cartridges, with additional ammunition being added into the overall prize fund for the weekend. This goody bag will also include free magazines, pin badges and other gifts.
For Friday’s warm-up day, there will be two competitions, a 50-pair Classic Double Rise, with £500 High Gun courtesy of Clay Shooting, and a Classic DTL 100-bird competition where another £500 will be won by the High Gun.
