Hardie rests on her laurels

Last weekend saw the Royal Agricultural University shooting teams take on Royal Military Sandhurst at Lady’s Wood Shooting School on Saturday 15 March.

The crown was split, with winners coming from both establishments, as Lizzie Hardie (above) from RAU took the Ladies High Gun and Rob Vincent from Sandhurst took the Men’s.

With Wadswick Country Store sponsoring the competition, organisers hope it will become an annual event.

Manager at Lady’s Wood Shooting School, Chris Hanks said: “It was great to welcome so many new faces this weekend. The competition was a huge success and we look forward to hosting them again.”

Lizzie Hardie said: “The RAU teams had a fantastic day of sport against Sandhurst, and we look forward to the potential of bringing in other military colleges in future.”

Rob Vincent thanked the school for its hospitality.

RAU won both team categories with its Ladies 1st team and Men’s Graduate team taking top spot.
